OCS & ICB Tie – Both Teams Remain Atop MIAC Blue

The OCS Boys Soccer Team traveled to Allen Park yesterday to take on the Inter-City Baptist Chargers. Entering the game, OCS and ICB were tied for first in the MIAC Blue Conference with identical 3-1-1 records thus making this an important conference matchup.

Inter-City got on the scoreboard first with a goal coming off of a corner kick to put the Chargers up 1-0. Later in the first half, junior Lucas Brattinga notched his 8th goal of the season to tie the score 1-1. Before the half ended, ICB scored on another corner kick to put the Chargers up 2-1 to end the half.

Entering the second, both teams continued to put on pressure trying to capitalize on scoring chances. However, late in the second half, sophomore Seth Tison scored his first goal of the season on a shot from midfield that snuck passed Inter-City’s goalkeeper to tie the score at 2 which is how the game ended.

Both teams remain on top of MIAC Blue with key conference matchups this week.

OCS is at HOME on Thursday at 4:30 pm against Roeper for their final home game. We will also be celebrating our graduating seniors for Senior Day with festivities at halftime. Please come out and cheer on the team and thank our graduating seniors for their contributions this season.
