The Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys’ Basketball teams will be playing their annual Coaches vs. Cancer game on January 26 against Detroit Country Day at Oakland Christian at 5:30 and 7:00 pm.

As a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), the boys’ basketball program participates in the annual Suit and Sneakers Night as part of the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative. On this weekend each year college and high school coaches wear their Sunday best suit with sneakers to bring awareness to the fight against cancer. During the night funds received for admissions, 50/50 raffle, halftime shots contest, and athletic gear sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society to help with cancer research.

T-shirts and sweatshirts are being sold as well to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Admission to the game is free if the t-shirt or sweatshirt is worn to the game. Gear can be ordered online at the link below. Orders will be taken through Friday, January 19 at 11:55 pm. Shirts will be delivered during the week of the game. Students that purchase the t-shirts or sweatshirts will receive a free jeans day on January 26 and can wear the shirts or sweatshirts ordered with jeans.
