Coming into the girls’ varsity home game against Cranbrook, Danielle Hopkins was on her way to breaking the single season 3 point field goal record. She tied the record in the first quarter and went on to break the record in the 3rd quarter and even hit a third later in the evening. Cranbrook was all over her most of the night so it was a battle for her to break the record.
With fifty 3-pointers (and counting) on the season, Danielle broke the previous 25-year-old record of forty-eight 3-pointers in a single season held by Laurie Ales. After also breaking the career 3-point record this season, Danielle continues to solidify herself as one of the best shooters in school history. Congratulations Danielle!
