The Lady Lancers battled traffic to get to the game 10 minutes before the start time. After a shortened pre-game warm-up they stepped up to bat and made the most of it. The team prevailed 9-3 vs. Plymouth Christian. They opened with 2 runs in the first inning, 1 run in the third, 3 in the fourth, and 3 in the sixth.
Rebekah Crane earned her 8th win on the season improving the Lancers record to 8-7.
The offense was a team effort on 12 hits. The hit of the game came about in a weird way. Rebekah Crane hit a double only to be called back due to a runner leaving the base early. The next pitch she roped a solo home-run over the fence, much to the other teams surprise. She finished the night going 2 for 2 with a double, a home-run, and 2 RBI. Jackie Hagar had 3 hits on the night and 3 runs scored. Olivia Mandziuk went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Nicole Vaught added a hit with 2 RBI and Alysia Weber went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Allison Brzezinski also went 2 for 4.
The team faces Franklin Road Christian next week as the Lancers prepare for the Division 3 Michigan State Tournament in a weeks time.
