Lancers News · Boys’ Basketball Back to Work

With the new year, the Lancer Boys’ Basketball program is back to work. The Lancers will be back to work on the court against Lenawee Christian on Saturday, January 5 at (JV) 2:30 pm and (Varsity) 4:00 pm at Lenawee Christian School.

The Lancers entered the Christmas break at 3-4 on the season. The Lancers first victory was over Everest Collegiate (40-32) on a hard-fought game at OCS between District opponents. During the game, the Lancers were led by Noah Ford with 14 points and point guard Kyle Barba’s double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Lancers’ second win came over Clarenceville at OCS as well. The Lancers defeated Clarenceville 70-53 on a great shooting night in which the Lancers had 5 players in double figures. The Lancers next win was over Merrit Academy 61-44. On a night with a crazy pace, the Lancers were led by Noah Ford’s 20 points. In their four losses, the Lancers have had to try and overcome low shooting percentages and have had to learn how to grind out points. The undersized young Lancers are continuing to work on improving on both sides of the ball.
