The Lancers welcomed Clarenceville High School to town for the first of what will be two conference battles this year as Clarenceville has joined the MIAC conference.
Keith McAllister got to work early in the 1st quarter as the Lancers jumped on the Trojans early with 7 of his 14 points on the game. The Lancers attacked the paint hard and as well as the offensive boards which resulted in 36 points in the paint of which 15 were second-chance points.
Dan Siminski and Angelo Scafome jumped into the scoring in the 2nd quarter leading the Lancers as they extended their lead to 33-20 by halftime. The Lancers keep up the pressure as they won both the 3r and 4th quarters to take the victory 62-46.
The Lancers had 3 players in double figures – Daniel Siminski (16), Keith McAllister (14), and Angelo Scafone (10). the Lancers out rebounded the Trojans 44-25 on the night with 16 of those on the offensive end. The defense was also up to the task as they held Clarenceville to 31% from the floor.
The Trojans were led by Javarian Ward with 21 on the night.
