Lady Lancers were in a slugfest tonight in their home opener against M.I.A.C. Blue Division opponent, Plymouth Christian Academy. The Lancers were down 15-20 in the bottom of the seventh and pulled out a wild finish. Final score: O.C. 21 – PCA 20.

Nicole Vaught got the victory on the mound for her first win of the season. She had 5 strikeouts and also knocked in 3 RBI’s on 2 hits. Mackenzie Saylor came up with a big night at the plate going 2 for 5 with 4 RBI’s on 2 hits and a 3 run homer over centerfield fence.

Olivia Mandziuk and Micah Tison created havoc on the base paths stealing 8 bases and scoring 9 runs between them both. Olivia had 5 SB’s & 5 Runs on 1 hit & some walks, & Micah had 3 SB’s & 4 Runs & 1 RBI on 3 hits.

Jackie Hagar had a great night going 3 for 5 with a key hit to lead to the victory – moving Autumn Maley around the base paths, until Autumn eventually scored the game winner on a throwing error.

Maddy Brzezinski, Olivia Williams, Allison Brzezinski and Riley Sparre all added a hit to the cause. Hannah Martin scored a run in a pinch runner situation.

Great come from behind win. Lancers 1-0 in conference and 1-0 overall. Next up. League rival, Lutheran Northwest on Thursday, April 11th at Lutheran NW.
