Varsity Volleyball Kicks Off a New Season

Lady Lancer Volleyball Advances

The Varsity Volleyball team played Southfield Christian in the first regional match and came away with the win in three straight sets.  The scores were 25-23:  25-20 and 25-9. The Varsity Volleyball team finished the regular season on Saturday, October 29 at the Almont tournament.  The girls finished in third place and ended the season 36-4-5 record and 9-1 in the league.  The team shared the championship with Plymouth Christian.  Both schools have a 9-1 record. Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team for an exciting victory over Plymouth Christian Friday night.  The match went five sets with PCA winning the first 25-19 and the fourth 27-25.  Oakland took the second and third 25-22;  25-23. The Volleyball team played a tough match at Plymouth Christian.  The girls played an incredible defensive four set match but fell to Plymouth in four sets.  Scores were; 17-25;  25-21;  21-25 and 24-26. The Varsity Volleyball team placed second in the 15 team Clawson tournament this last weekend.  The team was perfect in pool play.  In the gold division playoffs the girls beat Lamphere High School in two straight sets 25-21;  25-13.
